Abt Associates, Inc. (Abt) joins Population Services International (PSI), Family Health International (FHI), and IntraHealth to anchor a team with broad experience in strengthening the private and commercial sector provision of quality health, RH/FP products and services under the Private Sector Program (PSP). Our PSP team also includes two universities Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as well as seven specialized partners including ADCI/VOCA, Bitran y Asociados, Data Management Systems, Dillon Allman and Partners, Global Microenterprise Initiatives, O'Hanlon Consulting and Quality Support Inc. Several of these organizations are smaller, innovative firms that have specialized expertise in key PSP technical focus areas.

Abt and its PSP partners bring over 220 years of combined experience and are working in virtually all USAID countries. We offer a team that demonstrates our breadth of technical expertise, our commitment to high quality work, and our ability to respond quickly to requests for technical assistance in such areas as social marketing, behavior change and communication, private health care services, public/private partnerships, HIV/AIDS, maternal/child health, and infectious diseases. Our team and areas of expertise include:

Abt Associates Inc. (Abt) works to strengthen health systems locally, regionally, and globally, in partnership with many private and public organizations. Additionally Abt's expertise encompasses service quality measurement and management, strategic planning, market research, new product development and evaluation.

Population Services International (PSI) is widely acknowledged as a leader in social marketing and social franchising, and as an implementer of successful corporate social responsibility and HIV/AIDS prevention programs.

Family Health International (FHI) brings to the team its expertise in HIV/AIDS programming, as well as skills in health services research and training programs to improve the delivery of priority health services.

Intrahealth International will provide the team with expertise in performance improvement and quality assurance.

Tulane University Health Sciences Center, of the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, brings expertise in the monitoring and evaluation and experience with research on commercial markets and social marketing.

The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine provides the team with access to researchers widely known for their work on the private sector in international health, especially on private markets for malaria-related commodities. It also is recognized for research on health sector and hospital reform, contracting, and financing.

ACDI/VOCA contributes its broad expertise in training the not-for-profit sector in financial and management skills to the Abt team.

Global Microenterprise Initiatives, LLC (GMI), a small-women-owned business, offers the Abt team specialized management consultancy services that support private sector development.

Dillion Allman and Partners (DAP) brings to the team its broad experience in creating public-commercial sector partnerships that develop multibillion dollar new business opportunities for pharmaceutical and biotech companies while contributing to important public health objectives.

O'Hanlon Consulting Inc., a small women-owned firm, contributes its experience in facilitating the development of reproductive health policy to the Abt team.

Bitran y Asociados (B&A) helps countries (focusing on Latin America) to develop and implement health reforms, and works extensively with maternal and child health programs.

Data Management Systems, Inc. (DMS) will contribute expertise in health information systems and information technology services.

Quality Support, Inc., provides publications support including technical writing, editing, graphics, and document production services
